His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, inaugurated the third edition of the Dubai Forum for Equestrian Partners, orgnaised by the Dubai Equestrian Club and Dubai Racing Club, in the Grandstand Hall at Meydan Racecourse.

The event lasts for two days with a large attendance of those interested in equestrian sports and horse racing.

This year’s edition witnesses the participation of over 500 personalities, 250 stables, and 50 exhibitors, in addition to 25 media partners of the forum. Discussions began with a forum on the role of equestrianism in the national economy.

His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, affirmed that the UAE is moving forward in laying the foundations of its new economic model based on flexibility, innovation and pioneering thought, in a way that contributes to empowering various vital sectors and moving them towards new, more competitive horizons. His Excellency briefed the participants in the forum about Investors, businessmen, and companies working in the field of horses and equestrian sports who are on the most prominent influences and provide great opportunities in the business and investment environment in the country, as the horse industry is one of the most flourishing industries in the UAE, and it has witnessed qualitative leaps and tangible developments during recent times, which contributed to the consolidation of the UAE’s position as a major centre for the horse industry in the region and the world, thanks to the forward thinking vision of the wise leadership.

His Excellency added: “Thanks to the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE currently has a competitive and flexible investment environment and a strong and developed infrastructure in various economic and commercial sectors, including activities related to the horse industry, where nearly 2.1 billion dirhams were spent on training racing horses, and the average annual expenditure of equestrian clubs in the nation reached 367 million dirhams, and the size of the high-performance horse feed market reached more than 128 million dirhams, which contributed to the consolidation of the position The UAE is a major centre for the horse industry in the region and the world.

Al Adhab: An opportunity for suppliers

Major General Dr. Muhammad Issa Al-Adhab, member of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Dubai Equestrian Club and the Dubai Racing Club, said that the forum provides an opportunity for specialists from suppliers, owners of services and modern systems to meet with decision makers, horse owners and stables in order to conclude profitable deals for both parties, and added: “The UAE is distinguished with its exhibitions and commercial gatherings with a high international reputation, we at the Dubai Racing Club hope that this specialised exhibition will bear fruit in terms of linking service providers and students, especially since the equestrian market is a young market and is constantly evolving”.

Latest innovations and technologies

The forum presents, through the various pavilions of the participating companies and institutions, the latest innovations and technologies related to the equine industry at the regional and global levels, and displays fodder and nutrition products, ground products, preparations, veterinary services, stables technologies, and other various components related to horses.
