Trainer Mohammed Daggash and jockey Saif Al Balushi have taken up new roles with Saudi Arabia based Athbah Racing, the racing and breeding operation owned by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Daggash enjoyed a good run last season, scoring nine times, claiming a further 16 runners-up placings and four thirds. He earned Dh942,717 overall while finishing 14th in the overall UAE Trainers' Championships.
Omani rider Al Balushi, too, enjoyed an exceptional season, finishing 10th in the jockeys race with 19 wins, 18 seconds and 23 thirds. His efforts earned him Dh1,714,194 in prize money.
Al Balushi will now take up a position as first choice rider at Athbah.
Abdel Moneim Ahmed Al Shayeqi, Director of Athbah Racing, welcomed Dagash and Al Balushi, saying: "We are looking to another good season and we believe Mohammed Daggash and Said Al Balushi will be good additions to Athbah Racing, who have done well under the guidance and support of Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
"Our horses are ready to participate in the Taif Racing Season and we expect Mohammed Daggash and Saif Al Balushi to continue their distinguished performance with our horses."
