It was a pink day at the Al Habtoor Polo Club, as the fifth edition of the Ladies Charity Cup 2023 in association with Al Jalila Foundation declared Jagat Polo Team as its champion after winning against AM Polo and TCF-Hesketh.

This special polo event was held to promote and support the breast cancer awareness initiative by gathering the strength of women in sports. Three teams participated in round-robin games between the following teams:

  • TCF-Hesketh Polo: Kim Roche (0), Lauren Dickson (-1), Sandra Schneider (0), Tomas Palacios (3)
  • AM Polo: Sheikha Alya Al Maktoum (0), Petra Spanko (0), Valerie Vam Langenhove (-1), Marcelo Junco (2)
  • JAGAT: Vijayshree Shaktawat (-1), Olivia Johnson (0), Kayla Swart (0), Lance Watson (3)

The first match resulted in a 2 goal win in favour of Jagat against AM Polo team. The next game saw TCF-Hestketh Polo draw with Jagat with 3 goals. The last match for the second and third place had AM Polo defeat TCF-Hesketh. The afternoon was filled with activities such as clinical breast examinations, market stalls, food vendors, kids activities and pony rides. Two Best Dressed Females were given prizes from Wear Arie, Lala, Pick & Gift, La Perle, Al Habtoor Polo Resort hotel, and Blossox. Run-N-Hunt prizes for two pink coins amounted to AED 6,000 in gift items. The owner of Magnat Fine Jewellery awarded the teams.
