His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s powerful MRM Stables clinched the showpiece event of the Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Festival, the 119km Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup sponsored by Emaar, after Saif Ahmed Al Mazrouei recorded an emphatic 25-second win aboard Magic Glenn Torque.

In what was a textbook perfect ride Al Mazrouei, backed by a strong team with positive tactics won the four-loop ride at Dubai International Endurance City, partnering the 13-year-old  in a time of four hours, five minutes and 26 seconds (4:05:26).

Finishing second were Zayed Mohammed Atiq Al Mehairi and Castlebar Corsair for ‘hosts’ F3 Stables with a time of 4:05:51, while third place went to M7 Endurance Stables’ pair Rashed Saeed Malhoof and Duncane Du Croate, who recorded a time of 4:06:26.

The four-ride Festival was organised by the Dubai Equestrian Club in association with the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation and the showpiece event of the Festival, the Crown Prince Endurance Cup was sponsored by Emaar, the UAE’s leading real estate developer.

The event is one of the most sought-after endurance contests not only on the annual calendar of the UAE,  but on the international circuit as well and this year’s Festival yet again attracted a starry international cast who went head-to-head against the very best from the UAE.
